Yes, the computer was running the first time I plugged it. I left it plugged in when the computer turned off and I attempted to turn it back on but it wouldn't. I unplugged the brainstem and tried booting and it did. This left me puzzled. So I unplugged the DSATX from the MB and the AC-DC PS I was powering it from and just used the AC-DC to power up the computer. Now the only thing connected to the DSATX was the brainstem. I opened up HyperTerminal but it was a no-go. I got no readings or responses using any of the commands. I figured that the DSATX may have needed power to communicate with it so I connected only the GND and VIN, but I still got nothing. I moved to another to computer to make sure it wasn't my COM port but I was getting the same results. So I started messing with the connection between the brainstem and DSATX by wiggleing it up and down and suddenly I get sporadic readings from it. The connection would come in and out until I found the sweet spot which was only halfway plugged in. I wasn't sure how long the connection was going to last so I hard coded the timer and the min. voltage. Those are the only settings I wanted to change. I uplugged the brainstem and went back to the carputer to test the timer settings. The timer worked great. I unplugged again and went back to the computer I was programming it from. Again I had to wiggle it up and down to find that sweet spot before I could get any communication. I sat it down to watch the readings for a couple seconds then picked it back up and the readings started coming in incomplete and jumbled up sometimes. I gave up on it and unplugged it. This is were it stands now. I don't know if you missed my post but I posted a shorter version of this, it's the 4th post in this thread.
