Hello guys,

See if any of you can help me figure this out. I am doing a two amp setup. One mono block and one 4 channel. I need to relay +12v signal to the remote ON/OFF switch on the amps. What is the best method? I have a M2-ATX, which I believe only has one relay terminal.

Basically, when the remote amplifier turn on from your m2-atx receives power, it activates the relay which will send 12 volts from your battery to the two amplifier remote-ons.

I have to do this really soon, and thats what i figure is the best way. I'm not sure if just splitting straight off of the m2-atx remote amp-jumper will be able to supply enough power for both amps to turn on. Anybody have information on this?

Yeah i already checked out that site and yes that is the right way to do it appreantly. I spoke a car audio "expert" and he suggestest the method explained there. The m2-atx or any head unit might work at the first or second time, but as equipment get older, current draw changes. If it over loads the source at any point it will fry it. So, no i will stay safe and use a $5 dollar relay.

Some M2's amp turn on will turn on the standard automotive relay... some (mine) will not like (30ma). I went with a very low current turn on solid state relay. Good luck
