Wich DC=>DC PSU to build ?
Hi ,
I finally decidet to build a DC=>DC Power Supply.( Major cause is that I have noise on my S-video TFT.)
But know the question is : What to build ??
Sproggy , Felix Richters's V2 PSU or another.
Which one is the best, cheapest and are there other good ones ?
Also a point is that I live in Europe and i saw several times that people in Europe have prob's to get the coilcraft parts for The sproggy .
So anyone with a solution (oppinion) for me ?
Many Thanks
Felix

If you have enough room for a "normal" ATX PSU, and aren't afraid of doing some heavy thinking I would suggest a presslab conversion. I love it cost me quite sometime to get it working the way I wanted (correctly ) In all it cost me about 20 Euro and an old ATX PSU (welll two actually and a AT, I first tried one ATX but I lost my notes during moving so I started again with a AT to see if it really worked before buying another ATX)

Hi marsjell ,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have the room but i'd prefer a kind of "long" one or If the high is lower than on a normal psu. it's because i want to integrate it in my plexi case.
(see automp3.de 2 give u an idea how many place there's in the case).
tnx
Felix

Raas,
like arby, I also reused my primary side of the AT version... if you like I could build a new prim.side circuit, I'm not sure but I think I still have the rewound transformer & secondary side lying around so all I need for a working AT is the prim. side
I don't have a lot of time on my hands so it would take quite some time, or if you like I could send you the transformer & sec. side so all you have to do is solder the circuit which isn't difficult.
let me know!

I have a bunch of old supplies lying around here.

/Off-topic/
Felix,
I noticed that you're using a KNC-1 radio/TV card,
how are you using this? I'm trying to hack into the card and so far I can only readout all the RDS data (RDS, RDStext, and stationinfo), but I just can't find out how to readout the frequency-info, so when I search manually I can't see which station I'm listening to if it doesn't have a clear RDStext or worse, when I'm looking for a specific station, I have no clue where I am( frequency that is )
cheers

I use the card only for TV and it's not the RDS card
-Sorry-
But like it has WDM driver you should normally be able to get the freq-infos via this . I'm not a programmer.
Another possibility is to write to KC-one and ask. I did the experience that if you get the right person you can get all info you want
On the RDS - ( AF ) info you should also get the actual frequency if my memory about RDS specs is good.
Are you coding yourself an app ? if yes would it be freeware ?
Felix
