M2-ATX Problem (Reslved)

My m2-atx isn't working properly.

I have narrowed it down to the fact that for some reason the M2-ATX is not activating. Only after removing the motherboard end of the atx cable and shorting the PS_ON# to one of the Com's, will the M2-ATX power up the rails.

In dumb mode (all jumpers removed) I don't get any supply on the rails and I also tried manually jumping the mother board 'on' button pins, to no avail.

Is there a common cause of the PS_ON# not being activated/shorted by the motherboard?

*Edit*
I should also clarify that the system was working fine yesterday and I have made no hardware changes since. All supply volatages to the PSU are normal.

sounds like the M2-ATX has gone bye-bye .. do you have another power supply to test with?

No, not without pulling apart one of my home pc's and using the PSU from there.

I've done a bit of googling and the pages I've found are telling me that this is caused by the PSU capacitors going sour and not being able to store enough juice. The PSU works fine when I have the ATX cable unplugged from the mobo becuase there is nothing for it to power, however when it is plugged in to the mobo it can't supply enough current for everything and switches off automatically to prevent damage.

This problem has resolved it self.

For whatever reason, simply disconnecitng the constant +12v supply reset the m2-atx and now everything is working fine.
