How do I power the Infill G4 outside of the car?

I am about to purchase an Infill G4, and was wondering how people install software and stuff on it?

Do you all just leave your car running while the programs install? (this just seems dangrous from a fumes/inhalation perspective, not to mention a waste of gas)

Or is there some adapter cable that lets me plug it into a standard ATX power supply or something?

Or do I need to go to Radio Shack and get some AC/DC thing?

Yeah, I know the OP was 2 years ago, but people still want to know. The FAQ will give you an excellent walkthrough of what needs to be done. I found this in another forum and found it helpful.

3. Look at the 24/20 PIN adapter of the PC power supply (the biggest adapter)

4. Put the one end of the paper clip into the PIN with the green wire (i.e. PIN 14) and the other end into a PIN with a black wire.

5. Test/Turn on the power supply, it should work now (Bridge). Turn it off again. Unplug it again.

6. Cut off the end of the 12V wire of the power supply, that is the 4 PIN interface. If you are not sure go to the website of your power supply manufacturer.

7. Connect the yellow wire of the Infill with the yellow wire of the power supply.

8. Connect also the red wire of the Infill with the yellow wire of the power supply.

9. Connect the black wire of the infill with the black wire of the power supply.

10. Start the power supply.

11. Start the Infill.

12. It should work now.
