My buddy is using an old P3 600MHz Book PC (info here:
http://groups.msn.com/BOOKPC) with an OPUS 150W DC-DC. We've hooked up the SDC lines to the pwr_on header on the motherboard, and wired in a remote push-button in parallel for testing on the bench w/ a normal ATX.
The button works so we assume the signal from the OPUS will work too. The issue is, that the button will obviously start the PC, and a 4-sec hold will power it off, but pressing it once will not initiate a shutdown in XP (SP2). We've got ACPI enabled in BIOS, APM enabled in XP (which allows the PC to power off after shutdown instead of prompting us to), but we're still missing the "When I press the power button on my computer" menu.
Does anyone know what needs to be enabled in XP or BIOS to provide that menu so we can choose "Shutdown" or "Hibernate"?
Thx.
