Difficulty w/ Built-in SDC on OPUS 150W / Book PC

My buddy is using an old P3 600MHz Book PC (info here: http://groups.msn.com/BOOKPC) with an OPUS 150W DC-DC. We've hooked up the SDC lines to the pwr_on header on the motherboard, and wired in a remote push-button in parallel for testing on the bench w/ a normal ATX.

The button works so we assume the signal from the OPUS will work too. The issue is, that the button will obviously start the PC, and a 4-sec hold will power it off, but pressing it once will not initiate a shutdown in XP (SP2). We've got ACPI enabled in BIOS, APM enabled in XP (which allows the PC to power off after shutdown instead of prompting us to), but we're still missing the "When I press the power button on my computer" menu.

Does anyone know what needs to be enabled in XP or BIOS to provide that menu so we can choose "Shutdown" or "Hibernate"?

Thx.

Did you have to turn on ACPI settings in the BIOS after Windoze was installed? If so, did you reinstall Windoze after you enabled it?
As far as I know, there's no way to simply install ACPI functionality after Windoze is installed. If there is a way to do so, I don't know what it is.

Oh, good point. We did install XP first, then enabled ACPI. I'll have him re-install. He's getting a new drive anyway so he can re-install then. We were going to just partition image it to save on installing drivers, codecs, and worse: iGuidance, but o-well.

If anyone does know how to install the ACPP drivers in XP after enabling in BIOS, let me know soon!

Thanks!
