Which wire first?

Before I hook up my M3-ATX, I remember someone on this forum saying something about hooking up a certain wire first or you could fry it. I should assume ground. Which order should I go? I've got 12V from the battery, a ground and a fake "ignition" wire which is just basically another 12V battery source with a switch in line. All this with a 20Amp fuse.

You should wire up your positive wire first. That way, if you make a mistake and touch something that you shouldnt, you wont have a ground to fry anything. When your attaching the ground wire afterwards, if you make a mistake and touch something you shouldnt, you wont hurt anything because the ground wire carries very little current. Also, you should connect these things with the ground cable on your battery disconnected just to be on the safe side.

The ground wire carries the same current as the positive wire.

Personally I'd hook the wires up in the order : ground, positive, ignition.
