powering a laptop style adaptor PC

Hi there i have a Small form factor PC from a company called ATOZ it runs of 12VDC so i can connect direct to the battery. i just wanted to know if anyone knows how i can still have the function of those car PSU's like shutting down after an hour and that to save the battery.

Im guessing the pinouts on the motherboard would need to be tapped into with some sort of timer or something?

If anyone can shed some light i would much apreciate it!
