Carnetix P1900 Pulse question

OK, first off, I searched and could not find the answer to this. I've also thoroughly read through the Carnetix P1900 manual and don't see the answer to my question there either so, if this question has already been answered many times before, I apologize bit, I LOOKED...I really did!

I (obviously) have a Carnetix P1900 power supply. I've got the constant 12V (red wires) hooked to the battery and the ignition-sense (yellow wire) hooked to a switched source in the trunk.

All works well. When you start the car the computer boots; when the turn the car off, the computer shuts down.

Now I want to take the next step and hook up the Pulse (blue wire) wire. I have access to my door-unlock wires so, getting the pulse to trigger it is no problem.

My question is this...

If I unlock the door, thus triggering the pulse and starting the boot process, but don't ever actually start the car (and give the P1900 a +12V on the ignition-sense line), how long before...or even will...the computer shut down?

I don't want to go out to my car to get something (without starting it) and come back the next day to a dead battery.

Is is tied into the Deadman Timer? and, if so, doesn't the Deaman Timer just kill the power completely instead of the clean shut-down process?

Or is is tied to the Shutdown Delay Time (which I have set for 15 minutes)?
