Carputer randomly booting up
Hi.
I just got a new epia 2ghz to replace my fried 1ghz mobo. I am using an m2-atx, and have the new system running, but with a very bizarre problem. It will randomly boot the computer after I've walked away. Even more bizarre, it seems to be related to when I lock it with my key fob. If I dont lock the car at all, it will boot itself within a few minutes anyway.
I have done a bit of power button modification. The green/white wire from m2-atx to the mobo is normal. The acc wire from the battery to the m2-atx has a flip-switch in-dash so when it's off, the computer wont boot (for very short drives). In addition, the wire from the power button on the case has been hacked, I spliced on an additional button which is also in-dash.
When I used the 1ghz mobo, everything worked exactly as I wanted. Now that I've installed the 2ghz mobo, the carputer boots randomly! That it happens exactly when I lock the doors befuddles me. I haven't done full testing on rig because I finished installing at 2 am. But I do know that the power buttons both in the case and in the dash are fully functional.
Anyone have any ideas?
