m2 atx psu wiring ideas

ok, so i drive a lupo gti, the battery is in the boot, the PSU is going in the boot but i havnt got a clue where to pick up an ignition live.

i thought about taking one from behind where my stereo used to be to the boot but its quite a small cable and after hours of searching on here it seems i need a big cable or do i?

I already have a big cable coming from my battery to power my amp and the fuse is quite local to the PSU. could i just join in this fuse?

from reading some posts it seems the ignition live is simply a switch wire which has hardly any current running through it therefore, my method would be fine but i really dont want a car fire lol any help?

Nope, don't need a large wire nor a fuse. Not sure what you mean in the third paragraph - run constant 12v and switched 12v through the same fuse, is that what you are saying? if so, DON'T.

no, i am saying i wouldnt need a seperate power supply from my battery, i can just join the permanant 12v into the fuse with the amp power? and then run a small cable to the front of my car to pick up an ignition live?
