m2-atx Hibernation oddity

I have been using the m2-ATX, it has served me fine. I have finally gotten around to doing some more work on my CarPC and configured it to use Hibernation.

Hibernation seems to work just fine, when I am powering it at home. However, when I have it hooked into the car it still goes into hibernation just fine, but it instantly returns from hibernation at the same time. It seems like the m2-ATX is hitting the power switch, sending it into hibernate, then a second or two later, pushing the power button again causing the system to boot back up. This seems to be a constant issue.

Anyone aware of why this may be and how I may fix it?

Maybe its something with your car's electrical system? Hook up a multimeter and see if the +acc wire you hooked the m2-atx to is suddenly coming live or spiking right after you shut the car off.

That is what I am thinking. At first I was thinking perhaps another component (CD Head Unit or Factory Amplifier) was back feeding on the ACC line, so I disconnected them and tried again...still the same deal.

When that did not help I hooked my test light up to the ACC to see if it was popping live a second or two after the initial off, and it did not appear to be so. But, my test light is a standard filament bulb, which takes a moment to light up so if it is just a split second, I doubt it would light up. Unfortunately, I melted my multimeter years ago and never replaced it. I suppose it is about time.

If I can't figure it out, I might have to resort to running a relay or something.

hmmm, I just remembered... It did the same exact thing even before I had everything wired to the ACC line (just finally did that tonight, actually). For my initial "throw it in a see if it works" I just had a positive lead (ACC line) I plugged into the Power outlet in my center counsel. So, I would unplug it, no chance of a sudden charge running through kicking the M2 back on/off.

bah
