I'll try sending them a few e-mails, but I doubt I'll get a response either. The problems are disappointing, but not enough to make me go through the hassle of an rma and getting a different supply.

I hope they fix this as i'm looking at buying 1 to replace my M2,i don't use the amp remote function so i'm not too worried about that,just need it to work correctly as a psu.

It seems to be "luck of the draw."

I bought one, and have been testing and using it.

It took about a dozen starts (power-on, disconnect power completely, repeat) before it actually worked, and the timing functions took quite a few more.
Since then, it seems to work properly 98% of the time.
The other 2% it either won't start or won't shut down.

Some good news. I got a email from Turos Laszlo. So I set the amp thump to 30000...which is 30sec...by this time i'm in windows then the amps turns on. But I still get the thump when windows shutdown. They need to make a setting for windows shutdown. This is my only problem with the M4. Befor I got this new (Intel D201GLY2A) I had a ITX MB and use this app call (Volume_Amp_Control) on the com port...but if I hookup the com port and have the Volume_Amp_Control load...The Intel D201GLY2A reboots. This is why i'm using the amp thump on the M4.

The problem is every time I boot or shutdown the pc...I get this loud thump sound. I try using jumper J8 pin 8 and jumper J6 the inside pin. The wire harness that I got from you guys...when you sent me this M4-ATX PS. How do I connect it to my amps remote? If I just need 1 wire...then I already have that done. Is there a way to delay the time on the amp thump so it does not start to after windows boot?

There is a parameter in M4ATX utility software called "THUMP Timeout" which is now 3 sec default value.
You can download the software from the website.
Try to adjust this value to a higher value which you need.
For this you have to make an USB connection with the M4.
Follow the steps described in the manual.

Download Volume_Amp_Control and just us your com port. Just wire a com port # 4...Then say goodby to the thump at startup and shutdown. I had this working on my old setup. I have it working on this setup now.

I'd agree with you, Soloxp, but I have a power supply that's supposed to handle this task. Mini-box needs to step up to the plate and deal with all these issues. I'm confident it's a matter of some firmware updates. I just don't understand why they are so lacking in tech support.

Well you'll be banging on about this for a long time guy's,the M2 is the same and probably the M1 before it and it hasn't been sorted yet.

It's not gonna do you any good getting worked up about it,I have the M2 and i realise that the anti thump is dissapointing but i accept that and use AmpCtrl instead and that works perfectly.Its software based so knows from each individual system when to be on and when to be off.

Try it,you'll be glad you did and a lot less stressed.

EDIT: Minibox should change "anti thump" to "remote",it'd save a shed load of misery.

So your system crashes with "volume amp control",Have you tried the original "AmpCTRL"?

If not then maybe thats worth a try.

It was crashing cause I had it wired backword, I tried AmpCTRL befor...but ended up liking volume_amp_control better cause you have more control over your amps. You can turn on or off your amps anytime you want. So when I go to a place I know i'm going to be in there for 15-20min...I just turn off the amps and the pc stay on with the override switch.
