what do you have the Dip switches set to? Try setting it to P1, the first switch in the down position and the other ones up. Thats how i have mine set and it worked the second i hooked it up.

I had some funky issues with my M4 where it wouldn't power on properly when I first played with it. Resetting the factory defaults helped out. Try doing that if you haven't done so already. The manual explains how to do it.

Did you check the motherboard's manual to make sure that the pushbutton you're pressing is attached to the right pins on the motherboard?

well i was finally able to test my motherboard.(btw yes i was on the correct pins) everything works perfectly, just a bad powersupply i assume, unless i screwed up somewhere in wiring to the power supply or maybe overloaded one of the pins like one of you said. Its a shame, especially cause i didn't buy it new i feel like i will probably have a struggle returning it to mini-box. (not that i mind paying a little extra, but they don't seem to care at all). Well unless it works out, it looks like im getting an opus 320. really hate to waste such a small powerful board.

Try what kibble said! I've had similar experiences with the M4. Reset the board to the factory defaults (instructions are in the manual).

Also, when you change the dip switch settings, you know that you have to disconnect the board from the power supply for at least a minute, right? Otherwise, it ignores the changes.

to restore factory settings it says i have to be able to boot up the power supply. I gave it all a try (btw i knew about the dip switches). But it just simply wont do anything.

To reset the board, you have to disconnect EVERYTHING including the power into the board, apply a jumper on J1 and apply power to to the board for a few seconds; V+ and GND, IGN doesn't matter. You'll see the LED on the board flash briefly right after you apply power. After it's been reset, disconnect power to it, remove the jumper, set the dips to the operating mode you want and plug everything back in, apply power and test it again.

just went out and tried it like you said. It flashed for a second, after a few seconds i then disconnected it, removed the jumper set the dips, and still no power.
