Just got back my RMA'd M4...and guess what?
The ******* piece of **** does the exact same thing as the one I sent back!!
Unbelievable!
I've tried it on two separate mainboards...with and without the PCI sound cards...with and without USB/serial devices...
No change!
Flickering/wavy display and nothing but static from the sound cards!!!
If your looking for a PSU, do NOT buy anything made by Mini-Box!!!!!
They told me they were shipping me a brand new unit...
They probably sent me back the very same defective one I sent them!
What bull****....WEEKS of down-time because of this...
And now the season is over...I won't get to hear what my car sounds like until NEXT YEAR!!!!
Just in case you can't tell, I'm super ****ed!!!

Sounds like a problem with the way the cables are layed out, not with the PSU.

I was thinking the same thing...
So I hooked my bench PSU directly to the M4 and ran it in ATX mode (no jumpers)...
And no change...

Is it normal that the pin across from the grey wire (on the ATX cable) is empty?
It looks like it's s'pose to be -5V...
But my bench PSU is also missing the wire, so...
AH! But my older Enermax has the missing (white) wire...WTF!?!?!
Of all the problems people are having with the M4, am I the ONLY one having THIS problem?
Hopefully my OPUS gets here soon...
Anyone want this M4??

I'm going crazy!
So...old M4 didn't work with old mainboard.
Bought another mainboard, old M4 didn't work with it either!
RMA'd M4...recieved new M4...behaves the same as the old M4 on the new mainboard.
I no longer have the other mainboard, but I'm pretty sure it would of done the same thing...
Tried resetting defaults by powering it up with JP1 jumped (as per instructions)...didn't get rapid light flash that the manual said I'd get!
Tried connecting my bench ATX PSU directly to the M4...same result.
I do remember energizing my M2 using my Enermax PSU and powering my carputer...
My vid card was crapping out then though, so I couldn't tell if I had any issues (had no speakers connected to test with)...
And then the Enermax blew-up...
I wouldn't even doubt the M2 ****ed up my video card!!
Gawd, I can't believe I spent almost $60 to 2-day ship this back to Mini-****heads...
And it still took over 3 weeks to get a defective unit back from them.
Just an entire nightmare experience, top to bottom!!

So you have static in your audio, AND the display corruption?
Your using the M4?
What mainboard/CPU are you running?

What power supply ARE you using? It has to be something to do with the power supply.
When I run my PC with an AC/DC ATX PSU, it's perfectly fine...

That figures!!! Mini-Box PSU...
Is your M2 grounded to the PC chassis, or mounted in isolation?
What about the peripherials? Is the HDD isolated or grounded to the chassis?
