Shutdown/hibernation settings M4

I just got an M4 PSU and Intel mini itx board. I have been reading every post I could find on the M4, but cant find an answer. I don't see any settings on the board to specify the power off settings. I assume the M4 sends a signal to the MB's power switch thereby telling the MB to shut down/hibernate, depending on your window settings. Is that correct? A fresh install of xp defaults to Power Off on button press. So if the above is true, I would just change it to hibernate in control panel if I wanted it to hibernate?

Thanks. That's odd that it is so simple.
