Just powered mine up for the 1st time earlier today.
It went well i think but i was only using it in dumb mode.
Amp circuit seems to work, same as the M2 in that respect.
My pci sound card worked fine and there was no noise at all,i had noise with the M2.
More testing tomorrow as it all goes together.

I have just finished building my car pc. I am using M4-ATX power supply bought last month from cartft.com, so far i have tried the system at home using a power supply and a switch to simulate the ignition switch.
So far it is functioning very well, even the usb interface. I only tried tempering with the delay time to power on the PSU.

I am going to go ahead and get the M4-ATX. I ran into a financial problem earlier and put my carpc on hold for a while and never bought a power supply. Then I got preoccupied with another project so I will try the M4-ATX and report back how it works out for me.

My intelligent M4 was a retard!
The shutdown controller didn't know what it was doing, the switches had no impact on the shutdown time and it would crash quite often.
A friend of mine came round and flashed the 1.3 firmware to it and i havn't had a single problem with it since.
Griff.

I got my M4 and it seems to work fine. I mounted it on insulated stand offs and I have it set to turn the computer on and off. I havnt fully tested the computer to make sure everything is working fine because it is getting late but I will get a picture of it and post it in the other major M4 thread soon.
*EDIT*
I have tested all of the M4 functions and everything works, not one single problem.

I have two of them, both of them from 2009, and mini-box added an extra plastic strip on the bottom of mine to insulate the two positive corners.
