Anyone have a suggestion of where i may localy source a basic AC-DC power supply to bench test my car PC?

Id rather not pay the shipping as well as i would like to have it in the next couple of days.

also any ideas on what things laying around might utilize this that i could barrow from that would be running 12 volts at a decent amp

If you live in the US, Radio Shack sells AC-DC power supplies in the 10 amp range.

I wasnt able to find any on the site other than a 70 W one that was a hundred dollars. A little steep for my taste.

I use an ATX power supply to run my M4-atx in the house. Google will show you how to "fool" the atx power supply to stay on and I just made a harness to connect a molex connector to the wires on my M4. It works great and does not hurt the power supply.

There's a full writeup on how to bench-test your carPC in the FAQ section: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/advfaq.php

LOOKING FOR THE FAQ? IT'S HERE.
You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

DarquePervert thank you.
I had seen that before but i couldnt find it for the life of me! Because when i looked for it in the FAQ i was looking for the word bench test. HA i'm stupid...
that works out perfect seeing as everything is coming out of a desktop tower, so i just happen to have that ATX power supply.
