I have read the FAQ section on this a few times but I am concerned about destroying my power supply and my computer. If someone could post up a picture of there system in use that would be extremly helpfull and help ease my nerves for the first power up.
I should mention the yellow things are alligator clips so it is easy to turn on and off. When not in slave mode I just cover the wires with some electrical tape.
To make it I cut the wire, took off the insulation on both ends, then put them back together. I have another that I took more care with and did the splicing farther up and at different points so it is physically impossible for them to touch naturally.
Also I used one of those molex Y splitters to get the voltages themselves. So I can move it to any PSU and get bare wire without hacking up any 1 PSU too much.
Another option is to just push some wire in the open end of that connector. If you get large enough wire it will stay in the socket holes without stretching them.
Personally I just cut the wires back inside the PSU and put a switch on the outside so I could easily turn it on and off, but that kind of messes it up for being used as a real psu.
