Solar panel charge regulator as a battery tank...

Hi everyone!
I'm a car-pc noob and I'm trying to find the best way to create a battery tank...

I saw circuits that use two diodes (to separate batteries) and a resistor (to charge the aux battery) but they seem to be a little... poor... and with no control...

What about a solar charger like this?

It would solve cranking problems as well as current spikes from amplifiers...

Anyone tried them?

The system I'm going to build uses an Asus M2A-VM HDMI mobo with an AMD BE-2300 powered with Synocean STC-12300 power supply. With everything connected it drains 8A...

I read something here, but everybody spoke about few amp chargers that wouldn't work...
