Carnetix CNX-P2140 User help

I made one post already about setting this thing up and getting the driver. My first issue with the drive has been resolved at this point. I am trying to set it up now so that when i turn the car off it will go into standby/sleep mode. I am using a EEE PC. at this point when i turn the car off the LCD indash turns off the amp turns off and the PC stays on and goes into battery mode. Please help me set this thing up so i can start to use it

Do you have the P2140 hooked up to the power switch of the laptop?

no just the usb port

i have a new issue my standby mode and hibernate disappeared

The 2140 will sometimes get scrambled if it loses power. Like a dead battery or if you are testing it, when you cut the power. Follow the instructions to reload the firmware.

Also, go to the mp3car blog and watch the 2 part video on the 2140. Goce demonstrates how to set one up properly.

i will do that. i was using it this morning and it is not kicking it into standby mode.
