Angry ITX PSU - What Alternitives Are There To The Opus One

Slowly getting cheesed of now. I am sure we are not only mid way but almost to the end of May now and still now word even giving the release date out. ( Other than two to three weeks time ).

So for mine - and probably a lot of others benifit who are in the same postion waiting for the Opus ITX PSU - what alternitives are there out there that will do the same job ?

PS - Opus if your reading this a date is all we want ( and the PSU ) just that this is now stopping my install.

Thanks all

Terran

Hi Terran

The Australian one is at http://www.zantech.com.au/apowertech/PSU-12vdc250w.html

I don't think it is as functionally rich as the Opus one, but it's not vapourware! ;-)

I've been looking at a similar project to yours. I am fast coming to the conclusion that a cheap laptop may be the best option. It overcomes all the power issues, with either a 12v-240v invertor or a 12v adapter widely available and a battery to prevent unwanted shutdowns.

Only thing that I can't get is a PCMCIA DAB card.

Any thoughts you (or anyone else) have on the pros or cons of using a laptop would be gratefully received

Ignore request for laptop / custom build feedback. Should have browsed this site a bit further before asking! :-)

USB DAB costs about £80. I don't have it myself but you can read more about it at:

http://www.radio-now.co.uk/wavefinder.htm

I found this in google...
