Alternative

If you'd like to buy a shutdown controller from an alternate source.
check http://www.roshanindustries.com/carmp3/shop.htm (most of the way down on the page)

They may be more likely to produce.. I dunnno.

yeah Jeff is certainly a great circuit type of dude....but blows as a business man....I tried to buy one of his power supplies once long ago...but I guess he never wanted my money???WTF? So I bought an OPUS instead!

I bought a shutdown controller from him and there is a big black NEC thingy on there that was cracked..probably because it was pack so poorly. I have to admit I haven't tested it yet because I haven't installed it in my POPs car, so I haven't contacted him about it YET.

I realize that Jeff is a VERY smart guy and has brought A LOT to this community. I also realize he's probably going to school, working and making this ***** for a bunch of people.

So let's give him the benifit of the doubt, maybe he went to IRAQ!

Go get em' JEFF!!!

Bora i am really sorry to hear it broke should have contact me for a replacement.

Also the post system here "SUCKS" they take the package and later return it saying "electronics cant be mailed at this moment " so i pay again for postage and mail it when it can be.

All this because some Dickhead like to play with bombs here!

Like right now i cant mail anything through Indian post as its a rule from the goverment to not accept electronic items.

And fedex shall be expensive double the cost of the purchased Item

As for jeff i hope all is well.
Dont worry he will get in touch.

What can I say. Yaa, I am very sorry about the delay on these shutdown controllers. I should probably put on my website "please allow 6 weeks for delivery." But no one wants to do that. I realize the urgency of these systems. You finally decide you want to make your system work and you research all the options. You send me some money and I drop the ball because I run out or I'm on vacation or my real job is demanding a crapload from me.

Basically, I can't offer much just being one guy, but I can always give you your money back if your tired of waiting. I will try to respond to everyone’s emails, but when you get 30 emails a day and then go home and don't check them, it can pile up fast.
I am working on a deal to make this a much better operation from a business/ecommerce standpoint but right now things are kind of a mess.

I am still working on the next version shutdown controller and the setup I have for these shutdown controllers is not ideal, it is quite a headache actually. But I am working on it.

Bottom line is I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I did not have to go to Iraq, I will send them when I can get my crap together and I am sorry for the delay. I know how it feels to be in your shoes.

Oh and the topic of this thread should be "Don't order from Shutdown Controller from Jeff Mucha" :-) I acutally have a much better system for the Power Supply. The supply stream there is sound and it usually doesn't take more than a week to send them out.

Jeff

I actually remember that one. I did test it however. The crack won't affect the operation. If your not happy with it, send it back to me and I'll fix it.
