Pure sine wave inverters. worth it?

I am looking at a inverter rather than the opus etc etc, and wondering if the price difference for a pure sine wave inverter is worth the $$$

roughly double for a pure.
e.g $200 for a standard 300W inverter (NZ$)
$450 for a pure sine.

Is it worth it? (worried bout buzz)
is anyone using a pure sine wave inverter?

no its not really worth it. If you get a good quality inverter and ground your PSU to the same spot you ground the inverter, you'll kill 99% if not all of the noise

Another thing is that a pure sine wave inverter tends to be less efficient than the already inefficient square wave inverters. You'll be giving your car electrical system a harder time.

Also, if you have NZ$450, how come you don't want to buy a DC-DC PSU? I guess you want to use the inverter for more than just your car computer?

by the time i get one to this little corner of the world, its costed me roughly the same for a little 90w or a 150w. where the same $$$ can get me an inverter, which i can buy off the shelf, and use with existing pc's/psus i already have.

ok sweetas for answers
