I'm testing out an EPIA mini-ITX board using a standard ATX P4 power supply. The kind that plugs into the wall. I'm testing out some circuitry to run from the parallel port. In any event, I plugged in the atx connector and of course there is no power. I need some kind of switch. One of the cables coming out of the power supply has 4 female pin holders on the end connected to 2 black wires and 2 yellow wires. I'm thinking that some kind of switch is supposed to attach here. Is there a way I can jump these to turn on the power supply?

I realize this is really basic but I'm stuck.

NO!!! That's the aux connector for P4s. What you need is a switch for the motherboard, a monetary switch like this link

Thanks for the response. I must be on drugs to have not figured it out sooner. I just took a screwdriver and jumpered the power switch jumper on the motherboard (one of those jumpers that you connect to the case wires). Anyway, she powered up as smooth as can be

I started mine like that for a month...then I found out that it will auto start just from pressing a key on the keyboard...wooo fancy.

I use the screw driver method too, if I can remember which pins I'm supposed to short
