Does your Opus's low voltage shut down function work?

I just found out that mine doesnt work. a few nights ago I forgot to plug in my onboard power supply that maintains the battery voltage. The next day I went to the garage and my battery was down to 5 volts, barely enough to turn on the dome lights. The LED on the motherboard is on but the computer and the monitor were not. I hooked up a battery charger and my onboard power supply to quickly charge up the battery so I can start it and goto work. And for FAQ, Yes it is safe to hook up 2 or more chargers or power supplies to charge the battery as long as it's hooked up parallel and as long as the battery sees 12-15 volts. I wouldnt try hooking up 2 6 volt chargers in series to get 12 volts cuz it doesnt work like that. You're gonna blow up both chargers and possibly the battery too. Anyway today I boot up my PC and it said that some system files are corrupted. To repair the corrupted files insert the setup CD ROM and hit R for repair. I tried to boot up in safe mode and same thing. It ask to repair the corrupted files insert the setup CD ROM and hit R for repair. I was surprised that the XP was repaired to a full working condition. I thought I had to format C drive and reinstall everything. So has anyone accidently left their PC on and Opus failed to shut down the computer at low voltage? or is it just me?

Nope it not just you! I've done it about 3 times. I've left the switch on while listening to tunes and working on my car and have forgotten to turn it off. I was able to get someone to jump start me the next morning...I know that function was perfected on some of the later OPus supply shortly after we bought ours...(I think we got ours around the same time). A buddy of mine on this forum had the same problem and contacted Kris and he took it in and took care of the situation...I just haven't gotten around to it yet....so you are not alone!

older version suppose to shut down at 10 volts. newer version (ones made after Kris found that it wont work with mini-itx and had to modified to work with mini itx) suppose to shut down at 11 volts.

I got my 90w opus about 3 months ago and the low voltage SD works TOO well. It wont let the pc start if batt voltage is less than 11.5v. So, sometimes my system wont turn on if I try to turn on WITHOUT starting vehicle. I talked to chris, and he suggested removing a resistor, which would change the low voltage point to 10v - havn't dne the mod yet.
