Ready to install Carputer

Have finally got all the parts and ready to install. Got the PW70a but still trying to figure out if I can connect this directly to 12V battery. Rebooting on start will not be a problem for me as I intend to shutdown/powerup manually.Do I really need the ITPS.

I believe you need a regulated 12 volts for the pw70a.
