wiring question?

I have an ITPS and a PW120A... I plan on making a pullout design. I plan on leaving the ITPS on the sled I'm building. I'm not too good at complex electronics, I'd say my skills are very basic, but for some reason I can solder like a champ. Any way the question is, I want to add a regular PC power button, would it be ok to just splice those two wires in with the two wires leading to the ITPS (well two wires leading to my docking connector which would lead to the ITPS when docked). Basically when docked it would be one end connected to the mobo the other end kind of like a Y connector one set going to the ITPS and the other to the push button?

If you want both the itps and the power button to be able to start the computer, you need to wire them in parallel. Switching wires from itps go to the board (through whatever pullout system your using) as well as the wires from the button.
I think this is exactly what you were saying. Thus, you were correct.

so long as your switch is normally open, no problem.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of your dock when it's completed. Are you using the regular connectors, or do you have some giant 100+ pin connector like laptop docks?

Actually I'm using the same parts as they use on the Empeg players/sleds being that I have digikey numbers for all those and they are fairly easy to put together. I'd be happy to share the part numbers... Basically the connectors have about 28? (I think) Connections total, two are larger connectors for power and ground. I just plan on having 6 chanels out for audio and then the power so that should be enough.
