isnt the max wattage of the psu the max sustained wattage? you might want to add more than just a few amps, for burst power.

also, the psu only claims it's 90% efficient. that's cause it has to go dc-ac-dc. (transformers only work on ac power). so you have to have at the least 110(about) percent of it's wattage before dividing by 12 (if you want to follow his example). but i still think the wattage applies to sustained flow ("rms", if we were talking about amps.) so allow some burst power. yeah, that's what i was saying. you need to allow for burst power.
