Shutdown Controllers

Are you guys interested in a new Shutdown controller designed specfically by MP3Car? This is not a Jeff Mucha or Mastero knockoff, this is a 100% new design.

I would like to see what you have to offer...
I do use a very simple one at the time but always looking for new ways...

That would depend on what it did better than the currently available units (ITPS and Mucha.) The ITPS with regulator bypassed is doing a great job for me right now, but the timing on it is overly difficult to adjust (luckily the default delays are good for me.)

It's never a bad idea to have more options available.

One design may suit one person better than another

Give a hit to what sits this one apart from the other (please say it's cheaper)

Thanks

Would be nice to have another option avaliable. As my motherboard does not have boot on power loss it would be nice to have a shutdown controller that could turn the computer on after ignition

The ITPS does that.

They would need low power sensing to protect battery life and a nice variable shutdown delay timer. These are great options available on the Opus but of course the price is high on that.

yes one that won't drain the battery turn on and off the pc at random and can be programed for turn on and off delay delay turn off till the door is opened for cars that don't have the feature also if it could send a pulse to triger a relay to turn on and off the cheeper vga screens that don't have auto on and off how about a neg input wire to start and shutdown the pc from a alarm remote to send data over the wireless network with out giong to the car and starting the pc if it could sense if the pc has locked up by sensing the HDD pwr wires and force shutdown through the pwr switch so the battery won't drain over night aaahh **** it everyone talks and never makes anything that works right

lol

Dude I don't think there was any pauses there - less coffee

I think that Opus has set the standard quite nicely as far as a reasonable amount of features is concerned. So a shutdown controller that could match the Opus features without excessive cost would have a place.
