Question Please help with power supply / ITPS question

Hi All,

Looking for your expert guidance...

I have a Latte PC (http://www.upont.com/latte.asp) which comes with the following options for power adapters: http://www.upont.com/poweradapter.asp . I have the standard wall one (came with it). Looking to now put this into my car.

My questions to you:
1. Should I get the car adapter shown at the second link above?
2. What are my options to add shutdown controller like functionality?

I really want to accomplish adding a shutdown controller of some type but I'm doubtful I could add such a thing to this PC.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Per

Replacing the power supply with an Opus PSU (which has integrated shutdown controller) would solve both your problems, but I don't know if it would fit in the case. I can't see the power adapter page you linked since it does not work with Netscape, but the PSU that is already in the Latte, which the car adapter would be feeding, is likely to be rather inefficient.

It's not an ATX board. Doesn't that mean I can't use the Opus?

Thanks for your help.

Even if it's not an ATX board, it likely still uses an ATX power supply. I do not know for sure on that particular PC, however.

Can someone check out the power supply? You should be able to get to the links above. It is an external brick, much like a laptop power supply.

TIA,
Per
