This is of course just with the couple of devices I have, YMMV.

I didn't have such luck. I tried many disabling every device all and once and seperately. Oh well. I should have a second 55Ah deep-cycle in the trunk next week

Oh...and that's a stick Dexter has in a mouth lol. I gotta get that toy for him now!

Anyway, most cars now have current being drawn from them when the key is off.. ie car's internal computer, clocks, etc. I would measure how much is being drawn via your USB, it might not be that much. You could also take the hot (or ground) wire off the battery and measure the total current draw of your vehicle while the key is off. If your battery is being killed by this little amount of current, you might want to check and see if your battery might be getting old.

i have a yellow top optima battery and a 90psu carputer. i have a usb touchscreen that turns completly off with the computer when the key is out..and a usb gps that stays on. thats been on for 9 months now and i have gone a couple of days maybe a week without turnin the car on and its been fine. i just got a usb remote control so i needed a usb hub. its self powered. so my gps and the usb remote is plugged into the hub. only problem is when i turn the car off the hub stays illuminated. i dont know if the usb remote is on but the GPS is. Anyone know id this is ok or should i not be using the self powered usb hub. please let me know

thanks
Jason
