does any1 know how to send a signal to the pc when the backup battery reaches 10v? kinda like a failsafe.. that way, i can leave it on dureing the normal day to day trips around town, but when i leave my car for an extended period of time, the pc turns off when the battery reaches 10v..

i know there must be a way.. is any1 doing this or know of a way? currently, i have the ITPS comming in the mail but thats different..

You will need to compare the car battery voltage with a 10V reference by using a comparator and use the output to trigger a shutdown.

I dont think anyone has designed a standalone unit that can be used as an add on to a shutdown controller. There should be some newer shutdown controler that do this but I dont think its been released yet.

Im still in progress in cleaning up my own shutdown controller design
