I got a 12.9v on the +12v track

Its ok .. if its low ... ones the voltage drops in the input section then you have bright red ...

PSU is powered on car battery (12.9v engine not running)
ACC is connected also.

When i put the GND and the +12v on the PSU i get a low red led and hear a click of a relais.
I shortcut the kill switch (KS) and nothing happens.
Then i switch the the ACC on and nothing happens.

Soul go to Mastero website and look for the instruction how to configure/operate the SDC. But if you only need to test the PSU operation, put a jumper on J1 to bypass the SDC part of the board.

i`m having a problem too, inside on a carbattery everything works fine, input is 11.7V if i put it in my car the input is 12.7V then the 5V line drops to 4.3V and the rest stays the same. if i connect it with a thin wire i measure about 11.8 on the input and it works fine again, everytime it gets above 12V input the 5V line drops till as low as 4.3V

Somebody knows why?

A litle clarification.

When maddog powers his MK4 op on 12V it works just fine, but if he hooks it up to the carbattary the 5V line drops from 5,02V to 4,29V. I mentioned that it could be a isolation problem of the chips and/or MBR's but according to Maddog this wasn't the case.
He tested this with a multimeter before hooking it up

I'm thinking of a bad MBR, but theoreticly this wouldnt be a problem because the 5V line works just fine when the PSU is hooked on a stable 12V power supply. Could it be one or both of the regulator chips?

Maddog has one of the "full" kits I bought from Mastero

Just found something extra, at 14V input the PS works with a very small load (1hd + mobo) the 5V line is about 4.8V and as soon as it really starts booting (reading from HD) the 5V drops to 4.3V again and the PC reboots
