What's that all about??
This is an experimental to solve the problem between Mastero/Sproggy PSU and VIA M mobo. Mastero can't test to confirm this option work as he can't get VIA M mobo in India.
If you have VIA M board, set the jumper and connect the mobo 12V line to this part of the 12V NOT the other one (those are for HD/DVDROM).
For more information/discussion about that option check this thread

Since my Opus finally came, my Sproggy interests have been moved a bit to the back burner (for the time being). I already have the required voltage regulators, coils, heat sinks, PSU case, and some other stuff but don't have the needed caps, diodes, and resistors, and hex inverter on hand. Most importantly, I don't have the PCB and don't have enough time to make it up myself. If someone will send me a PCB and a Digikey parts list for the other stuff, I'll order the missing parts, assembly the supply, and do testing on the M10k whenever you need it. @Matrix, we live in the same area, do you have a MK4 PCB lying around?

Rando, I don't have the PCB as yet. If I do come up with one, it will be base on MAX chips and It will not have the VIA M mobo portion on the layout. Just get the PCB from mastero.

JUMPER DETAILS OF MK-4.
J1 = on (PSU will remain in stdby mode SDC wont cut stby power)
J2= OFF & J3 = ON ( Only for EPIA boards)
J2 = ON & J3 = off (For all boards)
ATX1 = (From MOBO power on header)
ATX2 = (For front panel to manually start the PSU)
OK the ACC line HAS TO BE SWITCHED so when you start your car for a short distance and dont want to switch on the pc. the acc line will go live thus activating the SDC. So when you switch off your car the SDC will send a start pluse to the PC and then cut power (NOT GOOD) so its better to have it switched or always start your PC when you start your car.
Cheers

Mastero,
Could you check your ouput to be sure no oscillations exist ?
I'm quite sure you will have some surprise.
Thanks

Thanks.
Also to take care : switching frequency coupling between all the DC-DC switchers.
For example,
3.3V with a heavy load can transmit overshoot to the 12V DC-DC with no load

This has been asked already but hasn't been answered yet.
How much is the mk4 different from the opus 150w ?
I mean does it have all the features like the opus ?
When will the full kit or the solderd version be available ?
and what will it cost + shipping to europe ?

KS = kill switch for shutdown controller initial time kill
Meaning when you cut acc line the shutdown controller waits for 15min this time can be eliminated by pressing the KS switch

Base on the sussessfull of my custom MK3.5 (an MK3 with 12V section from MK4), I am upgrading the PSU to have a more powerfull 12V sections. My plan: to power the Lilli LCD from the PSU and future faster more power hungry CPU ( I am going after AMD Barton 2500+ Mobile to be install on my Matrix).
The layout.
* 3.3V and 5V are base on MAX chips from the MK3 design.
* -5V and -12V are base on MK4 design.
* 12V is base on National Semi chip from MK4 design. There are 2 separate 12V sections. One is for the mobo and the other is for HD, DVD-ROM, LCD. May NOT work for VIA M10K as I am not interest in the VIA CPU.
* SDC on board base on Mk4 design.
* Low voltage protection shutdown base on Mk4 design.
* Temperature control fan speed base on circuit posted by mscar in Mastero Sproggy MK3.5 thread. 2 separate heatsinks but 1 sensor? Well, I connect the 2 heatsinks together and attatch the sensor there make it as a 1 big heatsink. Work very well for my current PSU.
All these fit in a 6.0x4.5 board (why? because I bought a 6x9 copper clad board and cut in 1/2 for the custom Mk3.5 and that the size I have left over). And I am NOT intended the PSU to be put inside ATX power supply case.
I did iron transfer yesterday and hopefully I have some time to etch it today. It a pain in the a$$ process. If you all ready have material to do so, it okay to do but if you guys have to buy stuff and doing it. I would recommend you guy get a kit from Mastero.

I've sent Maestro a PM enquring about the 12V lead rail would provide 8A. because my mATX mobo requires it, but he hasnt PM me back (Maestro are you out there??)
