When pc is off, OPUS is off - but led flashing.....voltage question
hi, i've installed my OPUS and its is great!!! I wish i had bought one from the start, as they are just amazing. I rewiried my car so that OPUS turns on and off with ignition, and thats all working.
But i have one question:
When the pc is off, how much voltage should the LEDs on OPUS 150watts PSU use?
I ask this because i was watching the voltmeter to see how much power was being drawn, and to my amazment it was 0.01 every 3 seconds!
At that rate if i leave my car off for 1hr the battery will drain.
3600 seconds in 60minutes
12v(battery) / 0.01(power drain) = 1200 times it can go down before reach 0v - i.e. dead battery
now 3x1200 = 3600seconds it will take to drain the battery?!
There is only one explaination for this amount of drain and thats the voltmeter was charging itself from the car, that would explain the voltage usage. just to add the car was off when the experiment was being done.
