anyone wire a power switch to their Inspiron?

Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150... I'm making the final preparations for my CarPC, and would like to make a remote power on/off switch for my laptop.

The power button on the Dell is actually a micro-switch on a 10-pin little jumper card off of the motherboard. However, I cannot seem to follow the etichings from the switch on the jumper card to figure out what pins are closed when the button is pushed.

Has anyone directly wired their Inspiron and figured out which pins are for the power button?

I did this with a dell inspiron 3200, I don't remeber the pinouts, but its real easy to find out which one is power. With the computer off, just take a metal screw driver and short the pins on the jumper card, 2 at a time, until the unit turns on.

Ok... so the pins for power should be next to or across from each other?
There's two rows of five pins on the jumper... should I just try each of the five pairs, then?

I think on mine they were both in the same row and were definitly next to each other. I'm sure if there not in same row on yours, there probably at least next to each other.
