opus150w - wont go into hibernate in OS

im testing my system (Epia-M10000+Opus150W+WindowsXP) out of the car right now and its not working right

i startup the computer with 12v and ignition on the 12v from a ac-dc power supply and the ground obviously on ground
the computer starts up fine
but, when i remove the ignition line, the computer stays on (i have the jumper off the opus board so it should turn off in 10 seconds from removal of the ignition line, but it doesnt)

i have noticed though that if i disconnect the ignition line while the computer is not inside windows yet, it will turn off in the specified 10 seconds

i set windows for that when the power button is pressed, it should go into hibernate
i set the bios to POS1

im stumped, any help?
thanks

edit: now it just randomly shut down (not hibernate or standby, the power just cut)
then 5 seconds later it just powered back on (cause all the cables were still hooked up)

Try setting the BIOS to S1&S3, that worked for me.

If it just shut down then started up again automatically, try starting the car, cos when that happens to me, I can't start the car and have to jump-start it

I have the same problem with my setup,
Travela c134 case, m10k m/b, itps and tank circuit.
when i start the car the pc boots up after 5 secs, when i turn the car off it shutsdown straight away, but if i set it to hibernate from the power switch the pc wont do it and shutsdown completely.
I also have the problem of just turning itself off when driving, at no set time, its just random, its as if i just pulled the power, so i checked the voltage out of the itps and noticed the output drops to 10.2v sometimes just for a second and i think this is causing the pc to fail.
The only way i can think of fixing it is to bypass the voltage regulation on the itps because it loses 1.1v through the regulator and i only have 13.25v going in.

Are any of you guys running the new Itunes? version 4.5 and sometimes even 4.2 and between will NOT go into hibernation if Itunes is playing a song.

Also, tripple check your ground wire. Sometimes the PC will still come on and run with a faulty ground connection. Mine got loose and the PC was starting up and shutting down randomly.

I ran my opus power trigger wires to the motherboard along with the case power supply. So when I was having problems with the PC, I would hit the power button manually, if the computer still didnt shut down I know it is a software or motherboard issue. If the computer DOES shut down then I know its the Opus PS.

Ok, your problems is likely with windows, you need to tell windows wot to do when u press the power button (essential wot yr opus is doing). Do the following:
Display properties, screen saver tab, Power button, Advanced tab, and select hibernate when you press the power button.

If thats not it, then it could be bios settings or incorrec polarisation on your motherboard connector.

ive narrowed down the problem

while booted into windows, i hooked up a normal push button power switch
when its pressed, windows should go into hibernate....but it doesnt
i tried setting it to standby when the button was pressed....nothing

so the problem lies in the operating system, the opus is doing exactly what its supposed to

now what would cause this though?

edit: nm, fixed it
