If you go 64bit for carputer, it better off to use inverter.

I am not sure about the Mhz, but those are rated at 5A atleast. Take a look at the Maxim datasheet. They are either 47Uh or 10 Uh

Those are to adjust the delay time for the Shutdown controller.

Hope Mastero will answer you more.

Hello,

it says that the 7805 has been discontinued?
What should i replace it with if someone could give me an exact product number it would be appreicated.

7805 is a 5V linear regulator. You can get it from anywhere (Electronic parts store of course).

If you are talking about the PSU, PM or email Mastero or look up the info on his website (look at his signature) and build yourself one.

i was talking about the time that gives you to start the engine before it turns on...
but if i got it right it's adjustable, from one of the pots, isn't it???
and one more thing, did you find a 12V relay for more Amps? or we should use a 16A?
thank you mastero
btw, my name is Kostas and i have a VW GOLF not a GLOF
sorry for my bad english...

RE: 10NF ceramic
Hello,
I'm fairly new to the world of DIY power supplies as well as electronics building. I don't know if this is a stupid question or not but the 10NF ceramic capacitor how many volts should it be?
Thanks

The PSU is ON at the moment you turn your key on (apply power). There is NO start up delay. Those 3 pots are for the SDC circuit (delay shutdown, power pulse duration, and delay cut off)
That relay is fine but I think the PSU is drawing more amp than the relay rated. I am going to use automobile relay but thru testing, the mobo can't turn the relay. I have to use a small relay to turn on that big automobile relay.

The one I order at digikey is really BIG (about the size of a dime). The one Mastero use is very small. I went to local Fry electronic and bought 4 about the same size. Instead of nF, the packaging is reading in pico Farad . They have both 50V and 100V. I took the 100V instead.
I dought that the car electricall system can get to that voltage, but you never know.

You would not happen to have a shipping manifest for the items you ordered through digikey for this project? That would be a big help
