Does anyone have a copy of the schematic and PCB layout from earlier in the thread? His site is totally not working for me. If anyone has them I'd really appreciate a copy at evandude AT gmail.com

I'm a EE so perhaps I can help a little with design if needed as well.

thanks

Basicaly this is how the circuit flow.
- When the SDC is on, 5V is coming out of 74HC14 pin6 and thru 10k resistor. That signal (pin3) is switch the BD677 transistor to connect pin 1 and 2 together to send ground from pin1 to pin2 (middle). That ground is then switch/turn on the relay. The relay connect and send 12V (batt level) to 5V StandBy regulator (LM1084).
- J1 when shorted, will bypass the SDC's BD677 switch and directly switch/turn on the relay.

i'm not getting the 5v

i'm getting ~2.3v into the 74hc14, and ~0.6V at the bd677

Now I have no more clue of what going on. Except, if you get the right 74HC14. Maybe you can get that replace.
Another point is did you check the value of the POT? Look up Mastero site for how to set and what value to be set. I think the fomular is (time in second = capacitance in Farad x Resistance in ohm).

Anyone got a circuit for the auto turn on feature based on a transistor instead of a relay?

I stilll need a good 250W PSU for my carputer with auto startup and shutdown. I haven't gone 64bit yet and wont ever use an inverter. THE 64bit xpc dont require any more then 250w on the PSU. Cause they have the same psu as I do.

But how much, fully asembled, working, tested with proof sheets of it working properly, and shipped to 87059? You can email me at jagray85@gmail.com. This is the only thing I need except a screen to get my xpc in my car.

This will never happen cuz this is a DIY project. Unless Mastero feel like it.

I am kind of new to power supply, is the -5v and -12v really necessary for a P4 system?

as what i remembered, -5 v is NOT used in P4 and -12 v is only used in Serial Port.

can someone confirm this?

RE: 12+ Dual 5Amp Rail

Hello,

I have a question about the 12+ rails. Since they are 5amps each does that mean that i need to plug the 12+ wire from the ATX Power connector to both of the rails to get full power?..... or should i just plug the ATX into one and the hard drive and cdrom power connectors into the other.

Im going to be running a 2200+ sempron off of this power supply ... any help would be appreciated.

Im getting excited to try it out cause im getting pretty close to being finished. Only a one more night once i get my coils and im done ...

Hi,

Can you please help me with a wiring diagram for your MK 4.5 PSU. I have almost finished making it with the help of your instructions.

Kindly let me know how to wire this up completly on both sides , i.e. Car Battery side and the Moherboard , Hard disk Side.

Thanks

Manik
