ITPS won't hibernate

I got the ITPS and it seemed to work ok but my computer would never hibernate correctly. I just noticed today that on acc off, the power to the computer is killed rather than the on/off circuit pulse and then power down 45 secs later. Is there something that is commonly done wrong or is this one acting goofy?

Have you configured your OS to Shutdown on "Power Button" ?
If you are running Windows you can usually select if you want it to be "Power Off, Shutdown or Sleep".

Yah the power button is set for Hibernate and the ITPS is supposed to give it 45 secs to do so after key off. It doesn't it powers down immediately after key off.

You must have it wired wrong then.

Are you sure the acc is hooked up right? Because if you have it going into the power instead.. it will cut power as soon as the key is off. It also means that it is running off of your acc line, which may not have the power to run it properly.

Red wire to battery
White wire to acc
black wire to ground

There are three wires running into the ITPS. Permanent 12V, switched 12V, and Ground.

If you have the permanent and switched 12v round the wrong way, then it will cause the PC to turn off ungracefully as you switch off the ignition, as the ITPS is losing it's permanent 12V supply instead.
