Do you want to know how much a system makes a difference on your car?

I drive a 2003 6 speed manual Maxima with 255hp.

My system in my trunk only:
2 Infinity Perfect 12.1's in separate sealed MDF boxes
Kicker 550.3 class D amp

2 1/4 mile runs - SYSTEM IN!
1st run, 15.2 seconds
2nd run, 15.1 seconds

3 1/4 mile runs - After the above - SUBWOOFERS REMOVED!
1st run, 14.6
2nd run, 14.5
3rd run 14.5!!

Mind you my car is supposed to be in the low 14's but its because i had crap tires on.

My 2002 6 speed maxima, also posted 14.6 sec 1/4 times with no system.

My only explanation is given my car is FWD, the wegiht on the rear resulted in loss of traction.

i've had no loss on my 528, the only problem I have is the lights dimming when the bass hits!!

There is a tech bulletin out on EMI interference causing problems with the ECU, and a fix for it (hardware swap which is EMI resistant). You have to pay for it out of your own pocket if this glitch is due to aftermarket equipment. Call up your dealer for specifics. Ofcourse this may not even be the problem (you have a lot of junk in the trunk from the sounds of it)
