I studied the VRM specs. All CPUs are powered by 5V.
and also 5V e 12 V are used for the periphericals.
The 3.3 is used only for AGP, PCI and RAM

I would ask to people ower of an ops 150W PSU
if it is possible to check the model number of any chips
present on the PSU. It should be MAX797 or 799,
please can you check?

Correction "All CPUs are powered by 12V..."

did you try also a mobile 2600 + with that carputer?

I did. It worked at full speed without trouble...and the motherboard didn't have that 12v connector thingy. I had to get a different motherboard as the Biostar was great for overclocking but the Opus wont turn it on. The replacement motherboard cant overclock and would only run the A-M 2600+ at 1200mhz....which is a freakin waste of time.

So, I swapped out the Athlon-XP 1600 that was in my desktop. My desktop now has the Athlon-M 2600+ running at 2.3ghz. The regular Athlon is running the Carpc just fine.
