dropout - dead end links

Well....I've searched and searched, and have become tired of the dead-end links on the site. I can not seem to find the solution to my problem, which has definately been discussed in this forum to great extents. My computer is now dropping out more and more frequently...mostly when I stop at a light or park. I'm using an ITPS and PW-70a. Can anyone please explain what could be my problem? I have a feeling the ITPS is reacting wrong to a voltage drop. Do you think it's the wiring, ground, etc... Thank you in advance!

I've got the same prob. If I find the answer I'll let you know. I bought a 1farad cap and hooked up to my amp, helped a little, but I'm I'm at a stoplight with my headlights on, and hit a hard note, mine dies too.

I think I'm gonna grab a higher output alternator and see if that fixes my problem. I'll let you guys know if it does.

I would check your battery's voltage with all the lights on, at idle and while your bass is pumping.

A quality battery just might help. Make sure that your altinator or sepintine belt belt is tight and in good shape

When idling without the PC on, I see 13.75V from my car battery. With PC on (about an 8A draw), I see 12.75V. When the cooler kicks in to help cool the engine because there's no airflow due to movement, it drops to 12V. I don't have a powerful amp and wasn't playing music in these measurements.

I bet your battery and/or alternator probably can't cut it and the ITPS is shutting down due to low voltage.
