Need to confirm my wiring setup: carpc + cap + amp + subs, etc

I just wanted to confirm my wiring design before I blew something up.

specs:
-------
12 farad cap
1200w amp
12" Kicker L7 sub
p4 2.0 running off opus 150w

Here's what I was thinking:

positive from battery, using 1/0 guage cable to the 12 farad cap.

the cap accepts a 1/0 guage cable, and has several outputs.

I was going to run 1 output to my amplifier for my subs, and another output to the OPUS power supply.

IS IT OK to run the opus off the cap?

Thanks for comments/info!
-Matt

Is that a typo or are you over zealous for a 1200 wat amp?

lol ... over zealous? no. I work for circuit city, and we just got these MONSTER accomodations from audiobahn and kicker. the 12 farad flame style capacitor is like $85 ... which is how much my friend paid retail for a 1 farad cap...

so I just went for it. it matches the amp I got, and was super cheap. I either could have got a generic looking 1 farad cap for $35, or a 3 farad rack mount cap for $60, or the 12 farad flame style for $85 ... it was justifyable at the time
