ok so correct me then if im wrong.... i made a little funky diagram

Battery----Block Distributer----Relay Switch-----Inverter---Shutdownand start up controler------CPU
|-------- & Amps-----Speakers

Anyone Agree with me?

also lets post some good Relay Switch and Shutdown and Start up controlers that would be of good use. (for us noobs)

FAQ

my inverter will arc at the plug some when connected slowly even if its off
from that and several other things i suspect theres a massive capacitor on the input terminals(to filter the power) and the cap draws alot of current when first connected

the cap could continue to draw power even when the switch is 'off'

though i dont think it draws much(on my model) i left a laptop RUNNING on the inverter overnight (cpu idle at 600mhz) and it didnt kill the batery(still started fine)

i should look into loging the current/voltage over time to try and figure out how long it would last, and switch to a dc->dc laptop suply
