drivers dont like reinitaiting becuase the port was open before and now its timing out..............

And that affects my VGA signal? I both hope this is it and pray it is not.

That was it (well, I've only suspended/resumed a few times so it's not definitive). I went with xport3 instead of gpsgate. Seems to work like a charm.
