opus 150watt shuts down and starts up computer randomly while driving

i have a 150watt opus psu. computer specs are...

PIII 800mhz
256mb ram
onboard video
usb sound
2.5" laptop hd

the opus will start up the computer when the car starts and run it just fine. after a few minutes... it will make the computer hibernate. then after a few more min, the computer will boot up again. the timing doesn't seem to be random from what i can tell. the computer always hibernates after 1-2 min after ignition starts... then will boot again after about 2 minutes. after it boots the 2nd time... it will stay on for the duration of the car ride.. until i turn off the ignition. does this seem to be an issue with the ignition input wire? it didn't do this before. for the first 2 weeks or so it worked fine. this problem just started.

btw, i'm using my accessory powered cigarette lighter as ignition input for the opus. this worked great before... i have no idea why it's randomly shutting down and starting up the computer now.

It might be the low battery feature in the OPUS. I'm not completely sure, but it's a possibility. How old is your car battery?

It could also be your alternator not charging enough.
A new battery would be my first option though.

i think there's something loose inside the opus. all the connections outside are fine... and if i wiggle the power plug on the opus (with the ignition on) the computer will turn on. do you think opus will take care of this problem? the unit is almost brand new... been using it for 2-3 weeks.
