Need Advice for a Dell SX270 setup

Sup yaa, I know some of yaa have used a Dell SX270 or 260 as your main Carputer becaused I searched. What did you use to power it? If a power inverter, How did the modified sine affect it?

Advice welcomed. I Did.

i have a gx270 which I believe is similar to the sx except for the form factor. I'm using a 250w inverter and haven't had any problems.
btw its a p4 3.2 2gb ram

Doshen is on a distinguished road
Power supply is different

The SX model used an external brick for it's power supply, the GX was a standard power cable that connected to the back like most PC's. The external brick should not affect connecting to a inverter but I have not done that. My experience is with the SX series, not with installing it into a car. The power brick in question is pretty big and difficult to manage with the power cable and all.

Anyone with other ideas? I was looking into the CarPC Platinum Power Controller V.25 and Coleman 400 watt Power inverter for its features.

the 400 watt one should be o.k., the 800 watt one would give you more than enough, which isn't always a bad thing.... I'd probably lean that way....

modified sine waves no problem... any inverter will work fine...
