Hello all
I have a asus Pundit which it has a 24 pins atx power connector, also I have the DSATX PS which it has 20 pins atx power connector. My Q is dose it matter that Mb atx connector ( 24 pins ) is bigger than the DSATX atx power connecter ( 20 pins ) ?. I looked around but I could not find an answer.

You can check your mobo specs/manual. It should state there. I'm using M2ATX 20pin connected to my VIA 24pin mobo.

They make it fool proof for 20pin connecting to 24pin too. You can only fit it in one way...

The 24 pin is the new ATX standard. They are phasing out the seperate 4pin P4 connector, and making it attached to the standard big 20 pin connector.

Basically unless the CPU needs that power, you can use a 20 pin in the 24 pin hole. But if you are running a P4 EE or something, make sure you use those 4 extra pins.

New boards have the 8 pin seperate which now feeds to the PCIx16 slots I believe to incorporate high powered GPU's.

No because all that does is fill the space essentially. Does Nothing. The whole point of having a 24pin connector is so that it has a more beefy ATX connector. Basically, just plug in the 20 pin to the 24 pin adapter, and monitor the voltages. If they start dropping, or if the CPU has SpeedStep, then if the CPU load goes high and it freezes or restarts, then you will need to get a real ATX version 2 PSU. Most new ones are hybrids that have a snap on/off piece that goes on the 20 pin to make it a 24 pin. Dedicated lne back to the PSU though.
